If fishing is what you are after, the historic Rod n' Reel Pier is just a few minutes walk and the Anna Maria City Pier just a few blocks further. Both piers have wonderful restaurants. The island boasts a free trolley to get you from place to place. There are many wonderful restaurants and boat and bike rentals are available.
