Alligator Point Florida beach home rental

...is a 3 bedroom home located on Alligator Point in the Panhandle of Florida at the tip of Wakulla National Forrest. There are only 250 homes on the point and this is a very isolated, natural part of Florida. There are no high rise condos, restaurants, or shops on the point. If you enjoy national forest trails (St. Marks Reserve), isolated beaches (Alligator Point, St. George Island), the largest fresh water spring in the world with glass bottom boat rides (Wakulla Springs), fishing/boating (Bald Point Preserve), and canoeing (Wakulla River), the Pink Flamingo is for you!

This uniquely built octagon house was an architectural project of an engineering student at the university and is sandwiched between the Gulf of Mexico (viewed from front two glass doors) and Alligator Bay (viewed from screened back porch). There is a public boat ramp to gain access to our new dock and canal at the back of our property. The marina at the end of the point has recently opened a bar and light food items on their docks surrounding the bay. The bay is a wonderful wildlife sanctuary that is enjoyed for sailing, kayaking, fishing, and general boating/skiing.

The back of the property is very private with large pines, live oaks, and a canal to Alligator Bay on the perimeter. It is easy to catch crabs off the dock for dinner. The house is ideal for families or holidays and is fully equipped for cooking or entertaining. There is a charcoal grill available for preparing larger meals upon request. There are two bedrooms on the first floor and a loft bedroom on the second floor. All rooms are furnished with queen size beds, linen, towels, and small toiletries.

$425/wk end; Weekend rentals generally run Friday 4 pm to Monday noon

$725/wk; Weekly rentals generally run Friday 4 pm to Friday noon

$1100/mo (available only Nov - March)

Location: 500 yards from the beach (front) & canal to the bay (back)

Payments: No international transactions permitted

There is a $300.00 damage deposit per week of rental. If there are any damages (beyond honest, minor accidents) after checkout, guests will be charged replacement or repair. Otherwise funds will be returned promptly within a week or so of check out. There will be a cleaning fee of $50.00 assessed if property requires more than the standard cleaning.
