This comfortable 2 bedroom cottage with separate one bedroom "bunkhouse" is nestled in the wooded area of Bald Point and is less than 3 blocks from a secluded Gulf of Mexico beach. Surrounded by State Park, it offers an unrivaled experience with Florida’s natural habitat. The location is perfect for bird watching and other wildlife observation. The pine forest and underbrush of this area offer a sanctuary for animals such as the black bear, white-tailed deer, coyote and a host of smaller animals. Guests can hike or ride bikes on the abundant neighboring trails through the state park or walk to the beach to enjoy the powdery sand and comforting waters of the Gulf.

The ground-level cottage is cheerfully decorated in a Caribbean-type motif and is the quintessential beach house. Each of the 2 bedrooms has its own double-size bed. The living room is furnished with a queen-size sleeper sofa and the sitting room has a double-size futon. The bathroom has a full-size shower. Separate from the main house is an adorable bunkhouse lined in light pine tongue-and-groove paneling. This separate sanctuary has 2 twin beds and its own private bathroom. It is ideal for older kids or for family members seeking retreat from the main house.

Bunkhouse

For visitors who enjoy boating, guests of Bald Point Guest House have access to Alligator Harbor through our private dock and boat mooring approximately 3 miles away. This is an ideal set up for many families who would like to be close to the beach for non-boating members, but who would also like access to deeper water for boating members. Our second property, Harbor View Guest House, is located across the street from Alligator Harbor and our home and is also available year-round.

Weekend rentals are for 3 nights. Weekly rentals are Saturday through Saturday. Weekend rentals are for 3 nights and are subject to availability. During peak season, weekend reservations can be made no more than 30 days in advance. Prices do not include 8% sales tax which must be charged on all rentals lasting less than 6 months. Refundable deposit is required when making a reservation. Check-in time is 3 pm and check-out time is 10:00 am.
