Coquina Moorings sits on a narrow spit of land with the Gulf of Mexico on one side, and the Sarasota Bay on the other. This unique setting provides both a sandy beach, and the Intracoastal waterway at your doorstep, with sweeping water views from every window. Our 3b edroom condo has two lanais, one at the back looking out to the Bay and the private swimming pool, and the other at the front, looking out over the Gulf beaches and sunsets. A private boat dock and fishing pier offers moorage out your back door for boats up to 30 feet, and the pier provides excellent fishing.

Anna Maria Island is perhaps Florida's best kept secret, with 361 days of sunshine per year, uncrowded beaches, crystal waters and great fishing on a barrier island near Sarasota, the cultural capital of Florida. Access to the island is available by flights into Tampa or Sarasota, and the island is connected to the mainland by three bridges. Anna Maria offers the white sands and beautiful sea shells of the Gulf of Mexico to the west, the Sarasota Bay and Intracoastal waterway to the east, and the Tampa Bay to the North. Gulf temperatures average 84 degrees.

You may enjoy its natural beauty without tall structures to block the view. Buildings on Anna Maria Island are restricted to three stories or less. Anna Maria also offers a 96 acre public recreational park, a protected shallow water preserve perfect for viewing wildlife, Pelican Man's Bird Sanctuary, four beaches with life guards and children’s playgrounds, a Bay-front park overlooking Tampa Bay, churches, libraries, cinemas, live theater, award winning restaurants and perfect sunsets over the Gulf.

Activities on the island include fishing off the piers, deep sea charter fishing, parasailing, jet skiing, sailing, scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, golfing, biking, scooter rentals, air boat tours, wind surfing, hunting for shells on the beach, and observing near extinct Manatees. With 2 golf courses located on the island and 45 courses within minutes, it's the perfect location for a golf and beach vacation. Attractions also include the Ringling Museum of Art, Bishop Planetarium, St. Armand Circle Shopping District, Myakka State Park Alligator Tours, Mote Marina, Sarasota Jungle Gardens, Sarasota Botanical Gardens, other museums and performance centers in Sarasota and Tampa, and theme parks within a 90 minute drive. Anna Maria Island is 15 minutes from the David Leadbetter Golf Academy and the Pittsburgh Pirates spring training facility, tennis at the world class Bolletteri Tennis Center, and greyhound race tracks. The golf courses in the area range from executive to PGA style or British Lynx courses. Courses are designed by world famous architects like Robert Trent Jones, Pete Dye, Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. You may choose from a variety of golf schools, academies, learning centers, discount golf and pro shops.
