...The Perfect Vacation Getaway! This privately owned, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath waterfront home is situated on a private inlet off Mobile Bay. The home has 2 levels of decks and an excellent view of the Gulf and Bay. There is a swim, fishing and crabbing platform and boat dock with three slips in the back yard, with fish cleaning table, outside shower and picnic table under house with covered parking. You can sit at the dining table, or on the deck, and watch the fish play in the Bay and listen to the surf of the Gulf of Mexico. West Wind Reef withstood Ivan and Katrina and is ready to welcome you to the Gulf of Mexico, and fun in the sun & sand!

The uncrowded beach is just a few steps away, whether you fancy walking along the snow white sands and collecting sand dollars as they tumble onto the shore or just stretching out on a blanket and taking in some sun, Gulf Shores/Ft. Morgan offers something for everyone. One bedroom has a double bed with one-half bath, other bedroom has queen bed and one twin bed. Another bedroom has a queen bed, its own bath & private deck (a "mother-in-law" suie minus the kitchen). The Sitting room has a trundle bed. There is plenty room to spread out in the Living room, Dining room, kitchen and sitting room combination.

Area recreation includes: golf, diving, fishing, tennis, hiking, bird watching, biking, swimming, shelling, charter fishing, parasailing, jet-skiing, boating, sailing, amusement parks, water parks, casual and fine dining restaurants and shopping, all within a five to thirty minute drive. Whether you travel by land, sea or air, you will find getting to Gulf Shores/Ft. Morgan to be very convenient. Interstates 10 and 65 as well as 98 connect to the modern and well-maintained Gulf Shores Parkway (Alabama Highway 59) The beaches are about a five hour drive from Birmingham and Atlanta, a four-hour drive from New Orleans, and about eight hours from Dallas, Nashville and Memphis.

Major airlines serve both Pensacola Regional Airport, about a 60-minute drive from West Wind Reef and Mobile Municipal Airport, about hour and a half drive. Car rental agencies operate at these airports. The Jack Edwards Airport in Gulf Shores, is fully equipped to handle private and corporate aircraft.

Cruising yachtsmen and other boating enthusiasts enjoy traveling the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway to the island the beaches are on. Numerous marinas in Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, Fort Morgan cater to these visitors. The Tennessee-Tombigbee links the Intracoastal to river ports in the Midwest, while the Gulf Waterway provides an East-West link to cities as distant as Key West, Florida and Brownsville, Texas.
